In the midst of the packing and prepping for the move, I wanted my brain to rest a little, and what better way to do that than start on a new book? I went to the local library and picked out The Shoemaker’s Wife, mainly because the cover was intriguing, what with the lady’s bright red lipstick and all.
I dive in, and immediately, I’m transported into the world of Ciro and Enza, their love story, and the life they lead together.
It’s amazing how the author builds up the characters in your mind with every word, so much so, that they become a part of you with every turn of the page. I go througha bit of it every night, and it seems to read slow and long at first, but like eating a delicious meal, you’ll feel satisfied after every bite.
If you’re looking for a book that would calm you down, something that can keep you company while sipping lemonade on Sunday afternoons, then this book is for you.
